Welcome to my Engineering Design Portfolio! My name is Wilson Huang, and I am currently an Engineering Science student at the University of Toronto. This website is constructed to demonstrate and exhibit myself as an engineering designer.
Over the past semester, I have been slowly exposed to the world of design by partaking in design projects and courses (Praxis I).I have discovered that my greatest strength is in the brainstorming and conceptualization stage. I am capable of developing many possible solutions to a given problem, and quickly assess their pros and cons.
Another skill that is rapidly developing is undoubtedly my ability to draw connections between engineering design and everything I see. I find myself constantly analyzing simple objects for their design purposes, whether it is a simple hole puncher, or as sophisticated as Toronto’s trolley cars. As well, I immediately try to apply new concepts learned in class, and imagine real-world situations where I would apply my knowledge.
This website has a navigation bar at the top to assist your exploration. Please feel free to contact me about anything related to (but not limited to) engineering design, design process, engineering science, and praxis.
